Kokotree is looking for a talented and experienced Script Writer to join our team. As a Script Writer, you will be responsible for writing original scripts for our videos. You must be able to write entertaining, educational, and informative scripts. A successful Script Writer will be able to create high-quality content that engages our audience. If you are a creative and passionate individual, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, write, and edit scripts for our videos targeted at preschool and kindergarten-aged children
• Research topics and develop content that is both accurate, educational, and interesting
• Collaborate with our team of creatives to ensure that the final product is of the highest quality
• Follow the AP style guide and ensure content meets industry, brand, and editorial standards.
• Partner with the design team to ensure that the script and the visuals align to achieve the desired results/action
• Deliver a consistent voice, tone, and style of writing with every piece of copy
• Character development across our various educational programs

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Film, or related work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience writing and editing scripts for internet videos, films, movies, etc.
• A background in education is a plus
• Storytelling and developing a voice are important
• Proven experience conducting research and writing accurate and engaging content
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Creative thinker with the ability to come up with new and innovative ideas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
